"The great Gatsby"! What excessive title for the film ... or maybe not? The first comments I heard about the movie gave me to understand that the movie was terrible. Eventually it turned out that those who made these comments was the tragic case. The first minutes of the film really makes you think you will see a real craze. But then (a quarter the much later) is presented to the viewer a true work of art. The work done in this movie is scary "beautiful"! The amazing "costumes" of actors, vehicles and the incredible job in visual effects (yes there are such) to travel in the 20s where the story takes us. Also the film has top "soundtrack" with tremendous swings of music then (mostly jazz) music today (pop, hip hop, etc.) and vice versa (up jazz adaptation of "young and beautiful" of Lana Del Ray). All this alone can "make" a pretty good movie ... What comes to take off but is once again, incredible interpretation of Leonardo DiCaprio who has truly "change" (and imagine not Get Even Oscar)! A minus might be considered the length of the film, which reaches approximately two and a half hours if I did not understand how the time passed. If you can then spend so much time on a movie you recommend it, although as I said above the first good comments that "I heard" is mine!
About the synopsis can not be high resolution. As mentioned above our story takes place in the 20s and more specifically in 1922. O Nick Carraway (Toby Maguire) a former stockbroker in New York, "tucked" in a psychiatric hospital sea glass wreath after leaving it. There he tries to tell the doctor about the disgust he feels for everyone and everything, except for a person excluded from this "eyesore".
